Meet Bilbo Baggins! (Hopefully!),
There has been all kinds of set backs with this movie, but for this guy’s sake, we hope they work this one out.
Meet Martin Freeman. You probably know him best as Tim from the original U.K. version of The Office. Anywhoos, Martin was approached by New Line and MGM, who are backing the new Hobbit movie, to star as the iconic Bilbo Baggins character. It’s an offer no one would want to refuse, considering, as we hear it, it was a seven-figure offer.
But alas, Martin had to decline, as his schedule wouldn’t allow it, as he is currently committed to shooting the new BBC series, Sherlock. However, we’re hearing that the studio is desperate to nab him and they are working on a new shooting schedule that would be more accommodating for Martin.
A lot of work and money is going in to get this guy. Let’s hope it works! We think he would be great!
